Review: Legit Prices On Vipcanzy, Or Are they Selling Scam Cameras?

Every day we get a number of people asking us to take a look at a certain website or product. Just recently, we received a comment asking us about the legitimacy of, a website that seems to be selling Canon cameras.

The very short answer to whether is a scam or not, is a very positive, we’re not completely certain. But from what we’ve seen with other sites, and from what we know after looking at a vast amount of websites, isn’t a business that you probably want to be buying from.

Why do we think that?’s Claims And Impersonations

Vipcanzy's main claims to sell Canon cameras. As most of you know, Canon is a major producer of quality cameras. It’s a popular brand among photography experts. But, when you take a closer look at Vipcanzy’s site, you find that they aren’t only selling Canon cameras, but they are also claiming to be Canon as well.

It should be obvious to most that this isn’t the official store of Canon, right? Their site doesn’t really seem up-to-date as what an official site would look like, as well as their domain name, Vipcanzy, has nothing to do with Canon. But, even though these things aren’t so, they are still claiming to be Canon.

If you take a look at the screenshot above, you will notice that they have in bold letters, the word “Canon“. If that isn’t enough proof, then we’re not sure what is. But, there actually is even more proof.
If you look at the bottom of their website, called the footer, you’ll find that they copyright their site. Now, copyrighting a site isn’t anything unusual. What is unusual is who they claim is doing the copyrighting!

Copyright Notice By CANON?As noted in the above image, the name they put on their copyright notice is “CANON – Official Online Store”. Vipcanzy is without question trying to impersonate the official Canon website.

But what does this all really mean?

It means that the site we’re looking at is illegally pretending to be someone that they really aren’t. It means that Vipcanzy is trying to make anyone on their site think that they are the real Canon site and store. And that is just plain wrong.

Often-times, scammers will set up websites and try to impersonate a specific brand, or a particular product. People will come to their site, thinking it’s legit, purchase from it, and lose their money without ever getting anything that they ordered.

While we can’t say with certainty that Vipcanzy’s products aren’t legit, we can say that they are definitely doing something illegal and because of that, they shouldn’t be trusted or used.

Low Prices = Scammer Site?

Low Prices On is currently running a supposed discount, where all of their products are being sold for a fraction of what they originally cost. This is a typical ploy by scammers to get people to order things from them.
Don’t get us wrong. We’re not saying that every site you see that has discounts is a scam website. And neither are sites that have low prices.

What we are saying is that if you ever come into contact with a site that is having discounts, or has products with low prices, it is always best to question the authenticity of those prices. Don’t just take the word of the site. Look around, and see if this is normal, or if they have a good explanation as to why they have those discounts.

As you look around, you don’t really see anything that details why they have such low prices. All they have is a simple note about “Featured Daily Offers”. Nothing about how they are able to sell them so cheaply, or why they are able to offer them at a discounted price.

Because of this, there is a high chance of this site being a scam. Low prices on a site that doesn’t tell you exactly why they are there is never good. They always lead to people losing money.

Do You Wear Your Cameras?

As we were looking over their Shipping & Returns page, we noticed that they had a rather weird clause in it. They said that they would only accept things that were ‘unworn’.

Returning Unworn ProductsSo, the product you buy has to be unworn? What does that even mean for the cameras? That you can’t put it around your neck? Or does it mean that you can’t use these cameras as shoes to make you look taller?

What this is basically showing us is that this site isn’t put together well at all. In fact, more than likely, the owners of just copied and pasted this from somewhere else. Our guess is that they took this from a clothing store.

In other words, Vipcanzy didn’t put much thought into their site when they made it, nor did they really read what they were adding as their pages. Which gives them even less credibility of being Canon, and much less legitimacy in our eyes.

Can You Even Contact Them?

Even though we knew that this site probably has nothing good on it, we decided to create an account with this site, to see if we could find anything else deeper in. What we didn’t find troubled us.

Usually, when you create an account on a website, you get an email notification that you created an account with that specific email. Strangely enough, when we did it (and they said they would send an email), we never seemed to get that specific email, welcoming us to Vipcanzy.

And, because we set our accounts with strong passwords (or then again, pretty random passwords), and because we sometimes forget what our passwords are, we somehow couldn’t log back into our new account.

Password reset emails are great features. That is, if they actually work. Yes, we tried to reset our password, but once again, never received an email letting us do that. So what did we do? The only thing we could do – we used their contact's Contact Form We sent them a nice message saying that we were locked out, and the password reset button wasn’t doing anything. And we haven’t heard anything from them since.

This isn’t good for their business. Think about it. What if you ordered something, and needed to get a hold of them. How would you do it?

You would obviously have to use their contact form, which they don’t seem to be replying to. Which means, you probably won’t get any help if something about your order goes wrong (and it probably will go wrong).

Is A Scam?

So, here’s the thing. Because we don’t know who is really behind this site – because we don’t have any contact information, we can’t really say that Vipcanzy’s products are a ‘scam’.
However, we can say that Vipcanzy is definitely impersonating a real website, and is trying to pretend to be Canon. And that is unethical, and illegal. On top of that, the site itself isn’t even a month old!

So in the end, isn’t really a company that you want to be a part of. We highly recommend that you don’t purchase from them, or trust them. Not until there is more information about them. Most likely, the only thing that will come out of doing business with them will be headaches and loss of money.

Don’t Get Scammed Again!

We know what it’s like getting scammed – we’ve gotten scammed plenty of times. But because of this, we were able to find similarities between many scam websites.
