Is datongitshop.com A Scam? (Don’t Fall For This Online Shopping Trap!)

Is datongitshop.com a scam? From my investigation, it’s a resounding yes!

Datongitshop.com poses as a fashionable e-commerce platform, offering a plethora of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories.

But don’t be fooled – a deeper investigation reveals a series of alarming red flags that scream ‘scam’.

Join me as I dive into the murky waters of datongitshop.com just to expose the truth.

4 Disturbing Red Flags of Datongitshop.com

The internet is infested with scam websites, and datongitshop.com is one of them. Here are the alarming findings from my investigation:

1. Domain Was Registered Just Less Than A Year Ago

Alarm bells started ringing in my head after I discovered that the domain datongitshop.com was only registered on January 2, 2023.

This is according to the information provided to me by Whois.com

In the online world, trust is often built over time, and a website that has been operational for years is generally more reliable than a freshly minted one.

Usually, scammers are notorious for setting up shop, swindling people, and then disappearing into the ether before reemerging under a different identity.

That’s why this recent registration date is a classic red flag and should be treated with the utmost caution.

2. Stolen Product Images

My deep dive also uncovered that a host of product images, including the “Tracy Faux Leather Front Zip Mini Skirt,” have been shamelessly copied from legitimate e-commerce platforms like shopwoc.com.

These malicious practices not only cast a shadow over their authenticity but also highlight a glaring lack of ethics and originality.

Resorting to stolen images is a telltale sign that datongitshop.com is more interested in making a quick buck than in building a reputable brand.

3. High Risk Payment Method

Despite claiming on their homepage that they accept a plethora of payment methods, including credit cards and PayPal.

My attempt to check out a product revealed that they only accept credit cards.

This misleading claim combined with a restricted mode of payment is fraught with danger because PayPal offers two-way verification security.

By surrendering your credit card details, you run the risk of being scammed, and your details may be misappropriated by fraudsters.

4. Alarming External Reviews

While their website conveniently lacks customer reviews, which is already suspicious.

But then, I found some really bad reviews about them on other websites like scamdoc.com.

One person said they ordered a product for $71 but were charged $81, and another person said they were scammed out of 32 euros.

A pattern of negative reviews just like this is a clear indication that the website should not be trusted.

The digital age, while convenient, has also given rise to scams like datongitshop.com.

It’s crucial to stay vigilant, do your homework, and trust your gut.

Remember, that if it sounds fishy, it probably is.

Based on my findings, I strongly advise against shopping on datongitshop.com.

  1. I am a 71 yr. old grandmother who ordered a wooden sandbox for grandkids. It’s been over a month and no sandbox but my credit card was charged along with over $300 charged on my card to E-bay!! Purchases I never made. I have been sending emails to no advantage. This is a scam website! Do not use!!
