Is uplexo.com a scam? It is.
Based on my preliminary findings, I would not recommend using this website.
They present themselves as a crypto exchange platform, promising unrealistic rewards to lure unsuspecting users.
With no company address, withdrawal options, and a questionable marketing strategy on TikTok, it’s essential to tread with caution.
Reasons why I wouldn’t recommend personally purchasing in uplexo.com
Every website has a story, and uplexo.com is no exception.
But as I dove deeper into its narrative, several inconsistencies and red flags emerge.
Misleading Domain Registration Date
While uplexo.com claims to have started its operations in June 2018, a quick check on whois.com reveals a different story.
The domain was registered on August 8, 2023. Such discrepancies raise questions about the website’s authenticity.
Questionable Business Address
The address provided on their contact page, 1 Grafton Street, Dublin, Ireland, when searched on Google Maps, appears to be a mere sidewalk with a train blocking most of the view.
Behind this angle is a public park, go check it out yourself, and you be the judge.
This raises doubts about their physical presence.
Dubious Founder’s History
Hank Weizen, the founder of uplexo.com, has previously founded Bitrarex.com, a known scam bitcoin market.
Associating with a previously flagged platform is not a good sign.

Plagiarized Content
Their “About Us” page content is a direct copy from malicious websites with domains like bitxhide.com and huntexer.com.
Such practices not only question their authenticity but also highlight a lack of originality.
Smoke and Mirrors
The website uses a plethora of big words, especially when discussing commitment and compliance for user protection. However, upon closer inspection, these appear to be mere smoke and mirrors, with no real substance backing their claims.
Irregularities in the Bottom Section
If you’re like me and have begun sniffing around to see if a website is, indeed, actually, legit.
You would look out for all minute details and see what’s wrong with the whole picture.
For example, I found out at the very bottom of the page that in the “legal” section, there are two of them side-by-side.
You wouldn’t normally think twice about it if you were not really aware of it being a scam, but go with it.
But based on all the previous evidence, how can you not add that to the list, right?
In the vast landscape of online platforms, it’s crucial to be vigilant. While the digital age offers convenience, it also brings along potential pitfalls. Always remember to do your due diligence and research before committing to any platform.
