SPTJ (Start Part Time Job) is a site that says you can make a lot money with their referral program – by only working one hour a day. Of course, that sounds completely impossible, but it’s always fun to validate website’s claims.

I’ve written before about how get-rich-quick schemes aren’t as beneficial as they seem, and this site seem pretty much the same.

How Do You Make Money? How To Make Money

SPTJ claims that they will give you 5-10 dollars for every unique person you send to the site. They’ll give you a unique URL to their site, and if you can get enough people to their site, then they’ll pay you money.

How does this all work?

According to SPTJ’s website, they say that they get paid from advertisers, and the more traffic they get to their site, the more money SPTJ makes. So if you help get traffic to their site, then they’ll be more than happy to give you part of the money.

Strangely enough, I can’t find any advertiser’s anywhere on their site (and trust me, I’ve looked far and wide). So I’m not entirely sure where their advertisers are.

On top of this, no one in their right mind is going to pay you $5 dollars to get someone to their site, so that they can see ads.

There are websites out there that you can actually get paid if you get people to click through a link, but those are usually ads, and you’ll generally make something like $1 for every 10 unique people click through (though it’s usually higher than that, I think).

So the way they claim to make money, and the reality of it, seems a little fishy. But since fishy is my middle name, I continued to poke around the site, to see what exactly I could find out.

What’s wrong with the registration form?

The registration form shouldn’t be a problem, but this time it was. I quickly came to find out, that, while they asked you for a bunch of information, you don’t really need to give any of it.Problems with registration

As you can see from the screenshot above, they ask for your email, home address, and your real name. But, as you can also see from the screenshot, that I have left the address and full name forms blank, as well as not really having a valid email address (as ‘nothing’ doesn’t really constitute one).

I clicked the ‘Register’ button, and it actually registered me and created my account.

I registered with null infoHmm…

So, they claimed that they need my email to verify my account, but it looks like I can just register without one, and I’m good to go.

It should be noted that there is no where on their site where they tell you what they’re going to do with their info. For all you know, they could be selling (and probably are). That might be why I’m getting an influx of spam emails to one of the emails that I used…

In any case, a faulty registration process is nothing but bad. If you’re able to create an account without putting information on their form that sort of seems required, then something else is going on.

But all that doesn’t matter if you can make money from the site, right?

Can You Make Money With Start Part Time Job?

the big question is whether you can make money from the site, unfortunately. Most don’t care about all the scam warnings that tell you to stay away. *sigh* I guess all my helpful advice is all for naught.

Since people are concerned about making money (and not really about whether a site looks like a scam or not), I logged into my account, and tried to see if I could make money.

Actually, I didn’t need to try to hard, because I already knew that I wouldn’t get paid, even if I tried to make as much money as possible.

You see, I uncovered over 35+ websites that look exactly like SPTJ. And when I say exactly, I mean exactly. Everything is the same except for the URL.

On some of those other sites, I tried to get paid, and even made a lot of money – over $600 worth!

$655 dollars made

Yup, as you can see from the screenshot above I made over half a grand in a pretty short while. But when I tried to get paid, I started having the difficulties.

They claim you need to download a pay out form in order to get your money. Of course, they say that you need to complete a survey to actually download the payout form. So, that is what I did.

Sadly, it was all for naught. Because as I finished the survey, I came to a page that said the pay out form didn’t even exist!

No file found!

So the answer is no, there is no way to get paid. I even tried to email their support email, but, I received an email back saying that that email wasn’t a valid email address.

Is Start Part Time Job A Scam?

Start Part Time Job is most definitely a scam. Their site has a lot of early warning signs that it’s a scam, and even if you ignore those warnings, you still won’t get paid.

Oh, you’ll ‘make’ money, and can probably make a lot of it. But you’ll get none of it. SPTJ is just a site that is set up to fool the average human being, and scamming them to get more people to come to their site. But now that you know, you won’t be as easily fooled, right?

There are many ways to make money online, and with referral links, but SPTJ isn’t one of them. Honestly, you can’t make that much money that quickly. As the old saying goes, “If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is”.

But if you are interested in making money online, and want a free program, then I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate (WA). WA teaches you how to make money with affiliate marketing, which is basically just like what SPTJ is (without the scamming part).

WA teaches how you can promote products that enjoy, or use on a regular basis, and how you can make money from that. Yes, if you enjoy all things hair-related, WA can teach you how to make money with it.

Don’t believe me?

I actually made money by creating a website expressly for people who had bad breath. So trust me, when I say anything, I mean anything.

You can check out my review of them here. They have a free starter membership, so you don’t need to buy anything at all (that’s exactly how I started and made my first few dollars).
